Ricky Quarles ("Moofy") was the second-born son of Brenda J. Quarles and Travis House, born in Dallas, Texas on April 17, 1969.
Ricky was one of the most affectionate people you could ever meet. Anyone who knew him knew he was a huge family man not only to his own family but probably to yours, too. He was raised in Dallas, Texas, and attended church at Greater Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ as a young child.
He received his education through the Dallas Independent School District and graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School.
Ricky met the love of his life, Rhonda P. Henry, at the age of 15. Years later, they married on September 30, 1995. To this union, two children were born: his Babygirl, his Punkin, and his Son, his Fatboi.
Ricky became an unofficial member of New Comforter Family Church under the leadership of Pastor Kervin C. Lightner in 2017.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ruben Thomas; his grandmother, Bobbie Nell Thomas; and his father-in-law, Roney Henry.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Rhonda P. Quarles; his daughter, Jerricka DeAmber Quarles-Hurt (Maurice); his son, Ricky Quarles II (Sidney); his mother, Brenda J. Quarles; his father, Travis House; his brother, Roderick Quarles; his sisters, Nicole Lashun Quarles, Teresa Kennedy, Adrianne House, Kianna House, and Eulalah Washington; his two granddaughters (his hearts), Ava Channel and Giana Alani; and his two babies, Octavious Clark and LaBrittney Bell. His Godchildren Ciera Phillips and Emanuel Castillo
He also leaves behind Aunt Sherri, Aunt Vivian (Skip), Aunt Janice, his Uncle Mark, his Pops, Fred Young and his MIL Doris Henry. Bonded not by blood but by love, loyalty, and laughter, his brothers from another mother: Cedric Smith, Clifton Burton, Stephen Easter, Kevin Carhee, Reggie "True" Truesdale and Billy Westley. He also leaves to cherish a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
But wait… let's not forget —
He also leaves to cherish his second loves: his Baby, a 1964 Oldsmobile Cutlass; his Heavy Chevy, a 1972 Chevrolet C10; and last but not least, the 1967 Ford Mustang.
Lastly, his dream land the place where his family home sits and remains a testament to his love, legacy, and life well-lived.
