Obituary

Richard Parks was born on November 20, 1955 to the parentage of Mr. SealiousParks and Mrs. Willie Mae Simpson-Parks.Richard became a christian at an early age, while serving at Mount Nebo AME Church. He received his education from Lexington High School in Lexington,
Texas.
Upon moving to Dallas Richard met Billie Jean Tryon (Peewee) they became an ideal couple, raising their three children Christopher, Barron (Bam) and Adrian (Turkey). He was always a family man and a good provider.

Richard, Peewee and the boys often did road trips to Lexington, Centerville and Fort Worth to visit and fellowship with family and friends. He had principles that only God bless you with, in other words he was a gentle giant of a man that loved others and poured kindness into everyone that he met.
His first job was driving a truck for a distribution company in Dallas. He was a very good employee to them. A pay increase helped him decide to go to work for R.L. Carrier Co. driving for over 20 years, and only retired because of health concerns. Some might have thought that his life was his work, but he had more time to spend with his boys and his two grandchildren. When he was with them you'd hear that infectious laughter and you knew it was either him or Bam.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. Sealious Parks, and two sisters Ms. Hattie Copeland and Ms. Eddie Jane Mitchell, and one brother Mr.Charles Simpson.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his children Chris, Barron (Sonya) and Adrian. His two brothers Mr. Sealious Parks Jr. (Theresa) and Mr. Aaron Parks. Two sisters Ms. Josephine Lartey, and Ms. Betty George. He also leaves his two grandchildren Yasmin Tryon and Kayde Tryon and a host of other relatives and friends
