Rhonda Denise Dunn was born on January 30, 1958 in Fort Hood, TX to the union of Alfred Hendrix and Mary Hendrix. She was the third born sibling to a military family that was stationed in various locations throughout the world. In 1970, the Hendrix's settled in San Antonio, TX where she graduated high school in 1976.

After high school, she married Charles Wayne Maxie in 1978 and began her career as a registered nurse. In 1980, she had her first son, Derrick Lumar Maxie and in 1984 had her second son, Brandon Charles Maxie. She was a dedicated mother and wife that loved creating memories and spending time with her family.

In 2002, Rhonda married Frank Dunn and in 2017 she decided to move to Anna, TX to be closer to her grandchildren and sons Derrick and Brandon.

Rhonda was a devoted registered nurse for over 40 years that worked at Southeast Baptist Hospital (Mission Trail Baptist Hospital), Health South, and Baylor Scott & White Frisco. She will be remembered as a creative, caring, and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.

In her pastime, her favorite hobbies were quilting, sewing, embroidery and home decor. She was always quilting, embroidering and sewing items for her grandchildren and family. These things truly displayed her creativity and brought joy and comfort to her.

She leaves to cherish her memories with her siblings, Alfred 'Bruce" Hendrix, Yvonne (Joe) Powell and Samone Hendrix. Children: Derrick (Shanell) Maxie and Brandon (Jamie) Maxie. Grandchildren: Madison Maxie, Demi Maxie, and Lincoln Maxie.
