Obituary

Reginald J Woodson was born in Dallas Texas on May 10, 1961. Reginald was a member of 3rd Avenue Baptist Church where he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He attended Wilmer Hutchins High School where he received his diploma. Reginald was the first of four children born to Mildred "Tucker" Woodson. His siblings are William, Lisa, and Clint Jr. His Mother Mildred preceded him in death June 8, 2023. Reginald was married to Patricia Woodson Townsend on September 29, 1998 (divorced February 12, 2008). No children were born to this union but together they parented his daughter Shakina Gentry and her son James Rivers. Reginald was employed by Luxottica Optical. He was dedicated to the company and always gave a hundred and ten percent. The people he worked with were not just fellow co-workers, but they were an extended family. He always looked forward to going to work. Reginald was a kind and thoughtful person and never met a stranger. He had a very strong presence whenever he walked into a room and was loved by everyone that knew him. Reginald valued the bond of family and friendship and always loved spending time, be it his daughter and all his grandchildren (Which was his heartbeat), his siblings, or any of his "Homies". He always had a way of letting you know that he valued the bond. He leaves to cherish his memory- Daughter, Shakina Gentry. Grandchildren : Delmetria, delron, Jayla, Jayson and Kha'Leice. Great Grands: Gianni La'Jaune, and Rose Marie. Siblings: William, Lisa, and Clint JR. Neice: Vickie Williams, Nephews: Xavier Woodson and Derrick Williams. Cousin: Ingrid Dancer and a host of family and life long loving friends that he loved dearly and they loved him. As we reflect on this day, let us celebrate the life lived by Reginald J Woodson because to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5 1-8
