Reginald Lee Hurd: a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025.
Reginald Hurd who was affectionately known as "Reg" was born November 5,1963 to his parents Helen Smith and Thurston Criner.
Reginald began his formal education in the Dallas Independent School District and graduated from Skyline High School. At an early age, he accepted Christ and attended Bullock Chapel C.M.E. Church. His drive and determination led him to becoming an entrepreneur, and he started his own trucking company. He successfully continued this path for many years until his health began to fail him.
On August 28, 2010, Reginald entered into holy matrimony with Gloria Hickmon. This fifteen year vow was not broken and lived the creed of "til death do us part".
Reginald was preceded in death by his parents Helen Smith and Thurston Criner, his twin sister Regina Miller, his sister Gloria Dean Hurd, and his son Dunate Roshard Hurd.
Reginald leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Gloria Hurd, his son Reginald Lee Hurd Jr. Reginald reared Qualisia Amdasun ( Nosa) and Derrick Clayton, 3 stepchildren Xavier Hickmon, Latavier Johnson (Leon) and Leatrice Hickmon, 6 sisters Linda Everett (Roy), Opal Johnson, Sheila Gee, Lisa Wells, Demetria Donaldson (Jason) all from Dallas, Tx and Bonnie Criner from Cleveland Ohio, 3 brothers Michael Hurd (Michelle), Dwight Criner (Sheila) from Dallas, Tx, Reggie Criner from Killeen, Tx, twenty grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
