Obituary

RC Clack, Jr., a man whose life was defined by quiet strength, profound faith, and unwavering integrity, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025, in Cedar Hill, Texas, surrounded by his beloved family. He was 86 years old.

Born on December 16, 1938, in Houston, Texas, to Rasma Clack and Thelma Hollingsworth Dightman, RC grew up in the small town of Trinidad, Texas. These humble beginnings instilled in him the discipline and character that would shape his extraordinary journey.

A proud graduate of Prairie View A&M University with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry, RC was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Medical Service Corps through the ROTC program. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain.

Following his military service, RC broke barriers as one of the first Black Special Agents in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where he served with distinction and a deep commitment to justice. His post-FBI career transitioned into Human Resources, culminating in a long and successful tenure, retiring as VP, HR at Campbell-Taggart. He furthered his expertise by earning a Master of Science degree in Labor Relations from Southern Methodist University.

At an early age, RC accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. This commitment became the foundation of his character and the compass for his life. He was a dedicated member and active leader at Concord Church, where he served faithfully as a mentor, Deacon, and Elder, impacting countless lives through his example.

RC embraced life with vigor, finding joy as an avid runner, golfer, and hunter. Above all, he was a devoted son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and loyal friend.

He will be remembered for his steadfast faith in Jesus Christ, his devotion to his church, and his great love for family. His legacy of strength, integrity, and faith will continue to inspire generations to come.

RC is survived by his wife, Bonnie Clack, and his devoted, loving children, Kim Clack (Karen), Carla Clack, Dana Clack, and Christopher Clack, sister Celia McKinney (Detroit), sister-in-law Brenda Clack (Floyd). He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Benjamin Clack and Anisten Clack, one great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rasma and Thelma, his stepfather Maurice Dightman, his sister Nadine Woodard, and his brother Floyd Clack.
