Rakisha Marchelle Johnson was born Oct. 16, 1971 in Dallas, TX to the parents of Adam Woods and Evelyn Chambers. She was educated in Dallas Independent School District where she attended Pinkston High from 9th - 11th grade. She graduated with honors and received an high school diploma from Hillcrest High School.
She furthered her education at Lamar University where she graduated with an Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing.
Rakisha became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. Nov. 17th, 1993. Rakisha's line name was given to her based on her cool personality, which is Kooley High. Her Zeta Phi Beta line sisters are Nyree, Carla, Rochelle, Cleo, and Tiffany. Nevertheless, her sisterhood goes beyond her line.
She was employed with AT&T for 18 year, Entrepreneur/Owner of Two ladies Catering. She was a dedicated member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church where she is Director of the Hospitality and Culinary Ministry. She worked with the youth and served as secretary of the youth ministry. United in marriage to Christopher Johnson on July 20th, 2002. They were blessed with three children Ladarius, Kioja and O'Shea.
She leaves to cherish in her memory a devoted husband, three children, father Adam Woods, mother Evelyn Chambers (Stanley), father and mother in law Chester and Lady Johnson, brother Adam Clayton Woods, sisters Jabrea, Nyree (Kendrick), and sister in law Tosha Johnson, and a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
