Obituary

Pearline Roberts was born on November 1, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, to her parents Larkie Lee Willis, Sr. and Ruby Jewel Mitchell. She was the fifth of seven children born to this union.

Known affectionately as Pearl, she received her education at Kennedy Curry Middle School which at the time was the high school for the Wilmer-Hutchins District.

Pearl accepted Christ at an early age at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Joppy, under the leadership of the late Reverend Robinson. Years later, she joined Greater South Central Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained an active member until God called her home. Pearl served faithfully in the choir for many years, as she dearly loved to sing.

After graduating from high school, Pearl married her first husband, Herman
Sample, and to this union one daughter was born: Meredith Lorraine Sample Scott. Years later, she met Donald Bradley, Sr., and together they had a daughter, Endrea LaTresa Bradley-Roberts, who preceded them in death.

Pearline Roberts was preceded in death by her father, Larkie Lee Willis, Sr.; mother, Ruby Jewel Willis; grandmother, Pearline Roberts; husband, Melvin Roberts; brothers, LeRoy Willis, Sr. and Kenneth Willis; and daughter, Endrea
LaTresa Bradley-Roberts.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Meredith (James) Sample Scott of Dallas, TX; two granddaughters, Keisha (Trivus) Sample-Griffin of Lancaster, TX, and Anai Michelle Brown of Dallas, TX; and three great-grandsons, Trevor, Trinton, and Triston Griffin, all of Lancaster, TX.

She is also survived by her siblings: Helen Gatson, Joyce (Billy) Reed, and Robert Wayne Willis, all of Dallas, TX, and Larkie Lee Willis, Jr. of Abilene, TX. She leaves behind her special niece and nephew, Winifred De Vette and Darrel Gatson, both of Dallas, TX, along with a host of other family members and friends whom she loved dearly.
