Our precious angel answered GOD'S calling and accepted her wings. Our mother, our friend, our protector, our counselor, our Mother Pearline Owens without fear and more love than ever, closed her eyes for the last time on this side and changed her address to be with GOD in Heaven.
Our queen was born March 7, 1937, in Roxton Texas to the late Tom Reynolds and Rosie Lee Allen. During infancy Rosie Lee Allen unfortunately passed and her dear sister Jennie V. Parker became mom to our mom.
Mom attended Roxton High School and graduated in 1955, mom then married our father Linwood Owens, who also proceeded her in death and to their union, eight children were born.
Mary Ann Owens (Harry); Linda Copeland (Osborne); Melba Jackson (Johnny); Myra Owens, Honda Henson (Carl); Linwood Owens; Earlwood Owens (Vanessa); and Nikisha Owens (Xavier).
Our Mom worked tirelessly for Southern Methodist University under Dr. Ronald Davis.
Mom is preceded in death by the following, her mom Jennie V. Parker, daughter Mary Ann Owens, grandson Jovan Owens, brother Walter Earl Parker, brother Robert Mackey (May Pearl), brother Roy Bryson, and brother Billy Wayne Reed (Cathy).
Mom is survived by sister Gloria Bryson, brother James Parker, 7 children, 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
There will always be a void in our hearts because our mom was the greatest mother that anyone could ask for. Her sacrifices were numerous, she never complained but gave everything. Mom always encouraged us to do our best, work hard, and live life to the fullest. We will always remember her commitment to our family as well as her unwavering Faith in God. Mom was a lifelong member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and will be deeply missed by all that she touched.
We love you Mom, we miss you Mom, and you will always be Forever in our Hearts.
Regards,
Your Family
