"The meaning of life is selfless service to others" ~ Pope Francis
PATRICIA REEVES SNEED was born on May 5, 1944 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Katherine Reeves and Bennie Salone. She was raised in a loving household with one sister, Katherine Pasztor. She was a graduate of St. Peter Academy in Dallas, Texas and continued her education at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.
On August 11, 1967, she was united in marriage to Arthur Charles Sneed (now deceased). This union was blessed with one daughter, Audra Rochelle Sneed.
After years of affiliation with the Catholic Church, she became a member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church on July 21, 1968 where she accepted Christ as her Savior. During her early years of membership, she sang in the Young Adult Choir, was active in Sunday School; a Vacation Bible School Worker and served as the Assistant Youth Director.
After 25 years of service at Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages/AT&T, she retired and became the Church Secretary at Mount Moriah. She served faithfully in this capacity, paying careful attention to details and taking part in several committees and church activities. God blessed her with a unique ability to recall names, telephone numbers and addresses of various members. She enjoyed her fellowship especially with the sick and shut in and children and youth of the church who affectionally called her "Aunt Pat". She was an avid reader and loved decorating her home for the holidays.

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace
Where there is hatred, let me sow love
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith
Where there is despair, hope
Where there is darkness, light
Where there is sadness, joy.
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console
To be understood as to understand
To be loved as to love
For it is in giving that we receive
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned
And it is in dying that we are born into eternal life!
