Obituary

Patricia Ann Jackson-Franklin was born on July 21, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Junius Jackson and Lizzie Mae Jackson. She peacefully transitioned from her earthly labor to eternal rest on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Patricia graduated from Lincoln High School in South Dallas. She later married the love of her life, Jerry Franklin, and together they shared a bond rooted in love, faith, and commitment. Patricia was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank, where she faithfully served as an Accounting Specialist until her retirement.

At an early age, Patricia accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life. She truly loved the Lord and delighted in reading her Bible daily. Patricia had a passion for baking and often sold cakes and cookies, using the proceeds to purchase Bibles that she joyfully gave away to others. Wherever she went, she witnessed to the goodness of God and shared the message of Jesus Christ.

An entrepreneur at heart, Patricia created business cards, baked cakes and cookies, and used her gifts to help fund her mission of spreading God's Word. She was fiercely independent and preferred not to rely on others, taking pride in providing for herself while also helping those around her. Patricia greeted everyone she met with a warm smile. Though she often endured pain quietly, she never allowed it to dim her spirit. Through every challenge, her faith remained strong and unshakable.

Patricia had a deep and abiding love for her sons, siblings, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Though laughter and tears will be shared among family and friends, her legacy of faith, strength, kindness, and love will forever remain. She was a truly special woman who will never be forgotten. Patricia Ann Jackson-Franklin was, and will always be, royalty.

Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Franklin; her parents, Junius and Lizzie Mae Jackson; her brother, Kenneth B. Jackson; her sister, Earnestine Williams; and her brother, Jerome A. Jackson, who passed shortly after her.

Those left to cherish her precious memories include her children, Cleon D. Jackson, Sr. (Catina) and Richard P. Franklin; six grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Singleton, Eboni A. Rodgers, Cleon D. Jackson, Jr., KeVaughn D. Bircher, MaKayla K. Franklin, and Jordyn Anderson; three great-grandchildren; her siblings, Joe Luis Davis, David J. Jackson, and Maxine E. Jackson; a special friend and devoted caregiver, Mrs. Johnnie Shaw; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Patricia's work on earth is complete, and she now rests in the arms of her Savior. Her love, her faith, and her gentle spirit will live on in all who knew her.

"Well done, good and faithful servant."
