"The Man, The Mission and The Ministry"
Walter Willie Scott was the fourth child born to Lola Mae Grissom-Scott and Curtis Scott on August 2, 1945 in Magnolia, Arkansas in Columbia County. His parents and two brothers, (Darvis Scott and Curtis Edward Scott) preceded him in death.
Walter attended the Columbia Public Schools. He was a member of the band and played the trombone. As a young man he also played the guitar at neighborhood gatherings. Walter and his family were members of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Magnolia, where Walter was a junior usher and sang in the youth choir. He was married to Earlene Lowe and they were the parents of four daughters. They moved to Dallas in 1969 and united with One Way Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Lee Brown. Earline Scott passed away in 1990.
Walter was employed by Beacon Moving Company as a truck driver. He later became an entrepreneur of several businesses. He was very skillful in many areas and was willing to tackle any task. Walter was a very compassionate and loving person who was eager to help anyone he could. He was humble and holy, meek and lowly and yet a man of integrity.
The Lord called Walter into the ministry in 1992 and Pastor Brown appointed him as Associate Pastor. Being led by the spirit of God he married Evangelist Doris Ford in 1995, they then became pastors of the Living Sacrifice of Praise Church in 1999. The Living Sacrifice of Praise Church is affiliated with the Kingdom Ministry Fellowship under the auspices of Bishop Oliver Shelton Summons, who also ordained him as Overseer Scott.
Over the last 20 years Overseer Scott and Pastor Doris Scott have traveled extensively throughout the US and other places as well. Walter never thought or dreamed that he would ever have the oppturnuity to fly or travel. He continued to travel and minister until his health declined.
