Obituary

He was the first son, first grandson, first nephew, first cousin… He was all of THAT!

Our story begins on the 1st day of September 1975, when a bouncing baby boy was born to his mother.  His mother, Diane Anderson and his late grandfather Louis Anderson, decided to name him Oscar Louis Anderson.

Oscar's Christian education began as a child as he was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church.  He received his formal education in the Dallas Independent School District, graduating with the class of 1993 at Justin F. Kimball High School, and later attending Tennessee State University.

Upon completing his college days, he sought employment at the Texas Bureau of Prisons in Dallas, Texas. Not only did he gain employment there, but he also gained a wife, his co-worker Ms. Tambra Cunningham.

Oscar and Tami joined together twenty-one years ago in Holy Matrimony on June 8, 2002.  To this union, one son Oscar Louis Jr. was born to complete their family along with Jason and Aleyshia.

Anyone that knows Oscar knows that he liked going fast, whether it be driving or riding.  He exhibited that skill of riding fast very well, as an employee of the family-owned business Evans Escort Services.

Oscar's present employment with Butch's Trucking company in Midland, Texas, would help to satisfy that desire to drive fast, as he commanded the highways as a cross-country truck driver.  He loved his job, his bosses, and co-workers, and they demonstrated love for him.
Continuing that penchant for speed and riding fast, he was a member of the "Outcast Motorcycle Club".

Those welcoming Oscar are his maternal grandparents Louis and Juanita Williams Anderson, paternal grandmother Ether Lane Ingram, the father who raised him Donald Ray Evans, and his daughter Anaya Anderson.

Memories will forever be with his wife of 21 years, Mrs. Tambra Cunningham Anderson, sons Oscar Louis Anderson Jr., and Jason Simpson, daughter Aleyshia Whitley, and grandsons Rhider Allen and Christian Taylor.  He also leaves his Loving Mother, Diane Anderson Evans, brothers Donald Hollins (LaFreda) and Kenneth "Bubba" Evans, and his sister Marakia "Kia" Evans.  Mother-in-law: Mrs. Ethel Cunningham; Aunts: Rose M. Lewis, Alice M. Webster (George), Idale Anderson, Linda Anderson, Sandra Anderson, Karen (Jason) Cosby, Sharon (Curtis) Tatum, Vanessa Brown, and Norma Beckworth; Uncles: Danny Anderson and Michael Cary; part of the Divine 9: special cousins Lanita Stevenson (Petrick), Jennifer Alvarez, Darrell Brown, Joshua Cosby, Justin Cosby and Janaye Cosby.  Additional siblings: LaShaunda Johnson, LaToya Neely, Nicole Mead, Erika Stewart, Earnest Cary, Stephanie Cary and April Miller, and several other relatives and friends.
