On Nov. 4, 1974, in Medina, New York a precious baby girl named Olivia Annette was born to Victor and Billie Avelais.
After the family relocated to Texas, Olivia was educated in Dallas Public Schools and graduated from J.F. Kimball High School in 1993. She attended the University of North Texas where she earned a bachelor's degree in political science in 1997.
Olivia had a deep passion for travel and painting, which brought her much joy throughout her life.
After graduating from college, Olivia moved to New York where she worked in marketing. She later moved to Miami, Florida.
In 2009, Olivia and Nathaniel Kane Bacon welcomed their beloved daughter, Sara Naomi Bacon, into the world—a joy that enriched their lives beyond measure.
Olivia accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and united with Church on the Rock Community Fellowship in Dallas under the leadership of Pastor LaDawn Brock.
On September 7, 2024, Olivia departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and creativity.
Olivia is preceded in death by her father, Victor Tello Avelais. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Sara Naomi Bacon; mother, Billie Avelais Gipson; stepfather, Lawrence Gipson; two sisters, Marsha A. Ross (Patrick); Felecia D. Clewis (Spearman); one brother Victor C. Avelais; very special aunts and uncles and a host of loving family and friends.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
