Olivia Elizabeth
Ann Edwards
April 2, 1947 – February 16, 2022
Olivia Elizabeth-Ann Crawford was born to the union of James and Dora Crawford, a carpenter and a homemaker in Dallas, TX, on April 2, 1947. She was immersed in the Christian community that would be her lifelong support and love of God from an early age. She was a longstanding member of Greater Power House COGIC in Dallas, TX. She later joined Neighborhood House of Prayer in Dallas, TX, where she attended faithfully until her health started failing.
Elizabeth (Lou) was blessed with a large and loving family. She married Curtis Edwards Sr. and separated from him when she was very young; she raised her three children independently with unconditional love, discipline, and closeness for one another. Elizabeth lost her eyesight in her mid to late 20s. She never let her disability limit her abilities; she was a provider, a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother. In her daily pastime, she loved watching daytime soap operas, talking on the phone from sun-up to sundown, and spending time with family and friends. Additionally, she loved quiet talks and prayers with God and listening to gospel music; her favorite songs are "Dry Bones" and "Faded Rose" by Shirley Caesar.
Elizabeth transitioned from labor to reward on February 16, 2022.
Lou is preceded in death by: her beloved eldest daughter, Dora "Renee"; middle daughter, Donna Nicole; parents, James and Dora Crawford; siblings, Annie Ruth, James Jr., Erma Jean, Oliver, Mary, Janice, and Janise.
Lou leaves to cherish in her memories her: only son, Curtis (Fran); youngest daughter, Danielle (Rodney); only grandson, Kevin; seven granddaughters, Kayla, Taylor, Elizabeth, Sydney, Kendall, Kennedi, and Lindsey; three great-granddaughters, Karma, Kenzley, and Kaliya; and six siblings, Bennie, Robert, Selvin, Debra, Sylvester, Marvin and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
