Odell Hughes was the first of six to the parentage of Clarence Sr and Allie Bee Edwards on January 21, 1950 in Dallas, Texas.

She met and married James Hughes, Jr. She worked at the Barbeque place for years and then the grocery store and on to Dallas Independent School District until she retired.

Odell was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Allie Bee Edwards and one sister, Jessie Mae Edwards.

After all was said and done she leaves to cherish her memories: three sisters, Valerie, Patricia and Deborah all of Dallas, Texas and one brother, Clarence, Jr (Mary) of Ferris, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
