Obie Edley was born on January 8, 1928 into a thriving family where his parents: Albertus Sr. and Rose Lee (Bradley) Edley along with his brothers, Albertus, Jr. and Billy welcomed his birth.
Obie spent his childhood in Dallas, Texas. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and Eastfield College. He also proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of the military branch of the U.S. Army from 1950-1960. Obie was a skilled craftsman by trade.
He was was married to Crisoma Bradley for over 50 years and this union was born Reginald and Brian. Obie was working and provided for his family while building personal relationships with each member.
He was called from labor to reward on January 1, 2013.
His memories will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
