Nicholas Antonios Collins was born on January 3,1970 in Henderson, Texas to his loving parents, Edna Marie Collins and Bobby Eugene Gipson.

At the age of 21, Nicholas accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, and was baptized at

Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. His Mother and Aunts actively reared him and kept him grounded in God's word.

Nicholas developed longlife friendships throughout his early years in school, especially with his fellow Kimball Knights crew called "The Homeboys" Cornelius Gibson, Steve Brown, Rod Brown, Rod Fields, Henry Lee, Keith Abney, Fred Crawford, and Devin Crow. Much love and respect to all of you for your support and condolences. Nicholas moved to Duncanville TX where he completed his senior year in the graduating class of 1989 at Duncanville High School, but forever deemed himself a Kimball Knight.  Nicholas later attended Mountain View College where he pursued his love for photography.

After being the family barber, Nicholas eventually put his love for barbering at the forefront graduating from Dallas Barber & Stylist College and began servicing many clients at Tight Edge Barbershop in Arlington TX. Nic was an enthusiastic Chicago Bears fan in a family of die hard Dallas Cowboys fans where he  never wavered in support of the gold and orange.  He wasted no time in his competitiveness on the domino table with family and friends where his big smile and jokes will forever be missed.

Nic was the father of 3 sons.  Derris Collins, Braedon Collins and his stepson Brandon Clemmons, which he loved unconditionally, and a proud grandfather of 2 beautiful girls. Peyton Marie Jefferson-Collins and Zoeann Collins whom he adored and spoiled.

Nicholas was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hubert Collins, Nathia Lee (Davis) Collins of Henderson, TX; paternal grandparents, Billy Gipson of Henderson TX and Geraldine (Humphrey) Gipson of Galveston, TX, uncle, Norman Collins Jr,  and first cousins Samian Collins-Denmon (Houston TX), Norman Collins Jr. (Dallas TX), and TaRhonda Harper (Henderson, TX), Stedmon Troy Gipson (Dallas TX).

Nic is survived by his mother Edna Collins (James Everett); father, Bobby Gipson; 3 sons, Derris, Braedon and Brandon.  Granddaughters, Payton Collins, Zoeann Collins; beloved maternal aunts, Billie J. Collins-Willis (Ronald), Mary Harding,  maternal uncles, Donald Collins (Ann), William Collins and Hubert Collins, Jr. , first  cousins, James Harding,  Tasha Collins, Chris Harding, Xavier Collins, Tonya Mangum Collins,  Renee Williams, paternal siblings, Monica Brown Owens (Robert), KreShenda Gipson, TreMaine Gipson, Joel Loftis and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews; his adoring and devoted paternal uncle Billy Mack Gipson Sr. (LaJeanna); loving cousins, Lisa McDaniel-Gipson, LaNisa Gipson-Jackson (Frank), Billy M. Gipson Jr., and Sarah Harris-Gipson.
