Obituary

Musa Buba Otuemhobe passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, at the age of 71, in Arlington, Texas. Musa was born in Lagos Nigeria on June 1, 1953 to his parents Buba and Adiza Otuemhobe of the Afenmai Tribe situated in the town of Imiegba, in the region of Estako East in Edo State, Nigeria.

As a youth Musa attended Lagos City College Sabo Yaba.  As a young man Musa sojourned to America to pursue an education in Electronics Engineering at The University of Dayton in Ohio.

Musa later moved to Texas where he continued his studies at The University of Houston.

In 1986 Musa started a career at Boeing Aerospace and Electronics as an Aerospace Quality Control Inspector to which he dedicated nearly three decades of his life before retiring. After retirement he started his own business and became the proud owner of the 7 Star HVAC Company.

Musa's love and support for his parents and siblings never wavered. Nor did his love for his native country Nigeria which will always be home in his heart. He created an amazing life for himself and his wife and children in the Dallas Fort Worth area and in the early 2000's he made the decision to became a citizen of the United States.

Musa was an avid sports fan as well as a passionate soccer player. He supported Dallas sports teams and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

Musa was preceded in death by his father and mother, his beloved wife, Lanelle Gayle Otuemhobe, his sisters Mrs. Ladi Ellams, Miss Zanaib Otuemhobe, and Miss Fatima Otuemhobe. He is survived by his brothers Mr. Garuba Otuemhobe(Lagos) and Dr. Shanka Otuemhobe(Taraba State), and sisters Mrs. Sidi Ibiefo(Lagos), Mrs. Nuratu Oliomogbe(Ibadan), Mrs. Aisha (Awusetu) Bhadmus(Lagos). He is also survived by his children, Helen Otuemhobe Mbah(Lagos), Amina Warren Otuemhobe-Craver(Dallas), Monjeed Otuemhobe(Phoenix), Malik Otuemhobe(Houston), and Tariq Otuemhobe(Dallas), along with eight grandchildren-Jamel Warren, Javon Warren, Khalil Rashad Otuemhobe, Splendor Mbah, Cherish Mbah, Melvin Mbah, Marlee Otuemhobe, Malik Braylon Otuemhobe, and a host of nieces and nephews, who will miss him deeply.

Musa's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his friends, his career, and his community. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family as well as all those who knew him.
