Ora Lee Walker was born to the parentage of Abb Thomas and Bertha Howard Thomas on January 13, 1910 in Pelican, Louisiana. She received her formal education in the Pelican Independent School District.

Later in life, Mohter Walker moved to Waskom, Texas. In Waskom, Mother Walke worked for a few doctors in their homes. After retirement, Mother Walker moved to Greenville, Texas; however, the city life was calling her so she moved to Dallas, Texas.

In Dallas, Mother Walker met and married, Mr. Charles Walker. To this union one son was born, Mr. Charles Walker, Jr. Their marriage laster over forty years.

Mother Ora Lee Walker peacefully passed away on August 27, 2012, while under the care of the faithful and dedicated care of her caretaker, Mary Thomas.

Her memories will be chiershed by all who knew and loved her.

The homegoing celebration will commence on Saturday, September 1, 2012 11:00am at New Unity Missionary Baptist Church where Reverend Shank Robinson is the Pastor.
