Obituary

Mother Earnestine Hearns was born in Waskom Texas on January 30th,1932  to the parentage of Herb E. Black and Ethel Harris Barrance. She received her formal education in Waskom, Texas, at Central High School in May of 1949. She attended the Lotta Church of God In Christ in Lotta, Texas, where she received salvation and baptism of the Holy Ghost under the leadership of the late Elder Campbell.
In 1950, Mother Hearns moved to Dallas, Texas and was employed at Baylor University Medical Center in the neonatal unit, where she cared for infants from 1950-1985. She attended Mitchell Street Church of God in Christ, renamed Abundant Life Church of God in Christ under the Leadership of the late Dr. Edward Lee Battles. She continued serving faithfully at Abundant Life under the leadership of Superintendent  Everett Jones.  Mother Hearns served in many roles and capacities including First Assistant Church Mother, a faithful member of the missionary board and a Loyal member of the mothers board.  She also served as a Sunday School Teacher  and a member of the Christian  Women's Council as well as a member of the Golden Ages.  Her wisdom and compassion was not only a blessing to the church, but to all the lives she touched.  Mother loved people and  was well known for her sacrifices as she went beyond the norms in reaching out to help others.
Mother Hearns leaves to cherish her memories,  two daughters, Diane Moore and Patricia Moore, both of Dallas, Texas;  two sons, Herbert Moore of Florida and Tom Hearns Jr of Dallas, Texas. Five Sisters, Merlene Walder (Herman deceased), Eddie Jewel Rolfe (Manuel), Mattie Toval, Murtis Richards (James), and Clarice Barrance all of Dallas, Tx ; one  brother, Lee Clarence Bennett of  Seattle Washington. 13 grandchildren, Trina Bolton, Adrian Moore, Corey Hagger, Christopher Moore, Katina Moore, Shonda Oliver, Kyol Oliver, Hosea Oliver, Shannon Green (Keven), Kerry Moore, Katina Moore, Kendrick Moore, Thomas Hearns, Jonathan Hearns, 17 great grand children, 4great great grand children and a host of other nieces and nephews cousins and friends and the Abundant Life Church family.
Mother Hearns is Preceded in death by her father Herb E. Black, mother Ethel Barrance, brother, Joe E Black, daughter Ruejeaner Oliver(Earl) and great granddaughter Brittnie Moore.
