Monica Myisha Edwards Washington was born on Auguat 14, 1988 at Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas, Texas. She was the only child of A.V. and Phyllis Edwards. Monica accepted Christ at the early age of ten. During her formative years she attended Garland Christian Academy and Lakeview Centennial High School. She was a member of the Honor Society from first grade through high school.

She attended Southern Methodist University of Dallas, Texas where she received her Bachelor's degree. She continued her studies at the University of Tulsa Schoool of Law. After law school she entered the working world at Zurich for which she worked several years and ended her employement tenure with National Interstate.

On October 16, 2021, she married Carrington Washington. Monica departed this life on Earth, August 8, 2022. We know that she is smiling down on us today saying...

"I'm at peace with God."

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Carrington Washington; father, A.V. Edwards; sister, Avia Edwards; aunts, Doris Oloton, Dr. Carrie Tunson-Brumfield, and Vera Harris; uncles, Ernest Brumfield and Adam Richard; great aunts, Emma Jean and Kelly Williams; mother in law, DiaNa Richard; sister in laws, Lexie Richard and Rachel Richard, and a host of cousins, friends, co-workers, and her bonus family who will miss her dearly.
