She was a graduate of David W. Carter High School and Prairie View A & M University. She was an active member of Concord Church. Misty was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated as well as Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. She was employed at U.S. Food Service, Incorporated.

Misty was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 7, 2012. Left to cherish her memories and celebrate her legacy: a loving and devoted husband, Cedric Lankford; children, Cedric, Jr. and Paige Arnetta.

The viewing will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 7pm to 9pm at Concord Church. The Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, October 13, 2012 12:30pm at Concord Church, 6808 Pastor Bailey Drive, Dallas, Texas.
