Michale Gerald Knight was born on February 19, 1960 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Kennol Bristol and Barbara Ann Dillard Knight. He was the second-to-the-youngest of seven children. He was reared in a Christian environment; Michale's faith in God began at an early age through teachings at Barnett Chapel AME church. Michale was educated in Lawton Public School and graduated from Lawton High School. After graduating, he attended Cameron College and later Oklahoma State University, majoring in Business. Michale was a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Michale loved to cook (and eat!), he later honed his culinary skills at Le Cordon Blue College of Culinary Arts in Dallas.

Michale married Deborah Annette Patterson on June 27, 1982. Michale was the proud father of four amazing children. Michale was known for his charming personality, sense of humor and friendliness. He knew no strangers and kept in contact with e'rybody on a regular basis - childhood, neighborhood, church, high school/college, family! Michale was active in various ministries at Hamilton Park UMC – Parking Lot Ministry, United Methodist Men and the I. B. Foote Crusaders Choir. His favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm. Michale loved sports and was an avid San Antonio Spurs basketball and Washington Redskins football fan. He took great joy in harassing the Dallas Cow"girl" fans.
In 2006, Michale relocated to Plano, TX to be near his mother – Barbara Knight, siblings Donnie and Saundré, and beloved grandmother – Lallie Barton, who preceded him in death in 2015.

Michale departed this life at 7:18 pm on Friday, August 17, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Kennol Bristol Knight and siblings Kennol "Pat" Knight, Robbie Knight, Ronald Knight and Seona Griffin. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother Barbara Knight, Plano, TX; two sons Michale G. Knight II, Oklahoma City, OK; Caleb Knight (Chelsi) Ardmore, OK; two daughters Chauntelle Wood, Houston, TX; and DeLandrea Mone Knight-Jeske (Josh); siblings Saundré Henderson (Ronald), Plano, TX; and Donnie Knight, Allen, TX; special brother - Victor Devorce (Compton, CA); the joy of his life, beloved grandson Gabriel Christian Isaiah Knight "Gabe"; and a host of relatives, friends and loved ones.
