Michael D'Andrea Carter, Jr. was born to proud parents, Sandra and Michael Carter, Sr., April 11, 1990 in Dallas, Texas. Michael and his sisters, Michelle "Binkie" Carter and D'Andra "DeeDee" Carter, grew up in Ovilla, Texas. During his academic career at Red Oak High School, Michael earned athletic achievements such as: First Team All District in football and UIL state championships in Track and Field, just to name a few. These achievements earned Michael scholarship to South Plains Junior College, where he accomplished his goal of winning a national championship title in men's shot put.
After Michael's collegiate career, he tried his hand at various jobs. However, he was most passionate about coaching student, athletes in Track and Field. Lovingly known as "Coach Mikey" he has coached numerous district champions and collegiate athletes.
Mikey excepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and savior early in his life. God's light can be seen through Mikey's dazzling personality and kind heart. Known as a gentle giant, Mikey has never met a stranger and tried his best to make everyone smile and feel comfortable.
Mikey has been welcomed to his heavenly home by his grandfathers: Douglas Carter and Johnny Porter, great grandmothers: Emma Payton and Luther Chandler, and uncle: Bruce Chandler.
Mikey leaves behind cherished memories of being a son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, coach and friend. His sparkling smile, adorable dimples, boisterous laugh, warm bear hugs and loving heart will be deeply missed by many.
