Michael Wayne Jones received his heavenly crown on August 10 following an untimely passing. He was born on October 19, 1959, to Bobby and Annie Jones.

Michael graduated from Hillcrest High School and later earned a degree from El Centro College. Michael later met and married Terri Gibson Jones and to this union Terrance Michael was born. He dedicated much of his professional career to Baylor Hospital, where he faithfully served for many years. In his later years, he worked as a supervisor for Walmart Meat Department, where he built lasting friendships and gained an extended family among his coworkers.

A man of strong faith, integrity, and compassion, Michael loved God and cherished his family. He known for his kind spirit, willingness commitment to serving his community.

Michael was preceded in death by his son, Terrance Michael Jones; his parents, Bobby and Annie Jones and his sister, Elen 'Doris" Tatum.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his son, Michael Potts, and daughter-In-Law, Shannan Potts, Rosiland Gipson (bonus daughter); his beloved grandsons Shemar Potts and Bryson Potts; his sister Fay Duncan, his brother, Burris Mayes (Gwendolyn Mayes) of Houston, Bobby Jones (Gwen Jones), Charles Jones, David Jones (Jannie Jones) and one of his best friends Oliver Green all residing in Dallas. He is also lovingly remembered by a host of in laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Michael devoted much of his time to helping others. He had a passion for sharing Gos's Word and voluntering with Meals on Wheels. In recent years, he found joy and solace in learning to play the piano. Looking forward to retirement, Michael planned to dedicate even more of his life to church, where he worshiped and served with dedication.

Michael Life was a testament to faith, service and love. His warm spirit, gentle heart, and unwavering devotion to God and family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know him.

Michael's life was a testament to God's grace and the power of a servant's heart. Though he has received his heavenly crow, he will always be remembered.
