Obituary

Michael Anthony Greer was born in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Roy I. Greer II and Lois D. Morgan Greer. He attended public schools in Dallas Texas, Sheffield Alabama, and Flint Michigan. After graduating from high school, he furthered his study of God’s Word at Bishop College, American Baptist Theological Seminary, and Tyndall Theological Seminary & Biblical Institute (J. Lee Foster School of Biblical Studies).

He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1981 and was honorably discharged in 1986. He worked for the Carrollton Water Department for nearly a decade and in various capacities within the financial industry.

Michael accepted Christ as a child and was devoted to our living Lord Jesus Christ. He served under the pastorates of Dr. Roy I. Greer II (Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church), Dr. J. Lee Foster and Dr. Gregory Foster (First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park, and Reverend Gregory C. Trotter (Friendship Baptist Church of the Colony). He was known for his faithfulness to family and friends, humor, commentary on current events, and unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Roy I. Greer I, Clotiel Terry Greer and his parents Roy I Greer II, and Lois D. Morgan Greer.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory his wife Connie Y. R. Martin Greer; daughters Lauren Greer and Krista Doubleday (William); siblings Jonathan (Cheryl), Karen Allen (Kenneth), Gwendolyn Dukes (Walter), Sheryl Greer, Roy III (Rhea); two grandchildren Jalen and Camila; one uncle Richard Parker (Juanita); one great uncle Bishop T.T. Terry (Virginia); nephews, nieces, and host of relatives and friends.

His life was a blessing, his love was a gift, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
