Maverick was born April 22, 1963, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to the parentage
of the late Percy Rogers and Shelia Ellison.

Maverick began his walk with Christ at an early age while attending
Carver Heights Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor
Tyler Carter.

Maverick was educated in the Dallas Independent School District,
where he attended Harry Stone ES, Dr. Frederick Todd Sr. (Zumwalt
MS), and South Oak Cliff HS.

He was employed by the Dallas Crescent Hotel and Colonial His
Baptist Church; he was also an employee and member of the Hillcrest
Baptist Church under the leadership of Sr. Pastor Mike Simmons
D.Min until he transitioned to his heavenly home.

Maverick was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Elbert
and Pearl Ellison; uncle, Michael Ellison.

Loved ones to cherish his memories are: Mom, Shelia M. Washington,
four Sons, Victor, Earl, Danny and Demarcus Alexander;
granddaughter, Dakota, and their mom Lasharon Ellison; 2 Brothers,
Andre' (Debra) Williams, Willie (Danielle) Washington Jr.; Sister,
Adrienne Cooper; Uncles, Charles Ellison, James (Lena) Ellison,
Christopher (Mecshell) Ellison; Aunts, Vicki Campbell, Terri Mitchell,
Winifred Rogers-Jones and a host of other relatives and friends.
