Maurice Frank Gamble was born May 10, 1929 to the parentage of Lucille Slaughter Brown and Frank Gamble. Both parents and his brother, Joe Eric Miller, Jr. preceded him in death.

Maurice lived his entire life in Dallas, Texas and was educated in the Dallas Public School System. At an early age, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country proudly.

Maurice was a member of Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church and attended until his health declined.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: daughter, Sandra Walton; sister, Charletha Blackmon; brother, Charlie Brown; nieces, Machelle (Don), Bivia, Vickie; nephew, Charles, Jr. and eight great grand nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The homegoing celebration will commence on Thursday, July 26, 2012 11:00am at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home, 6449 University Hills Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75241
