Matthew W. Crawford, Jr. also known as Michael was born on August 8, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to Ruby and Matthew Crawford, Sr. He attended school at St. Anthony Catholic School and graduated from Spruce High School in 1974. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a Red Cross volunteer. Michael also attended Dental School.

Survivors include his mother, Ruby Crawford; siblings, Joseph Crawford and Stephanie Crawford-Taylor (Rocky); 3 children, 3 grand children and a host of nephews, nieces, and other family and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Matthew W. Crawford, Sr.
