Mary Louise Harris was born June 2, 1931 in Paris, Texas to Leon and Ella Harris. Mary was the second daughter of three, Katie Boyd and Ruby Nell Robinson whom has already gone on to be with the Lord.

Mary was known for her king heart and gentle spirit. She was the kind of woman that was always was there for a person in need. She took in many children whom had no one to be there for them. Mary worked for Lubbock Bowling Alley until her retirement. She was a member of Community Baptist Church and was in the choir there. She then relocated to Dallas, Texas where she became a member of Christian Stronghold Church.

Mary married Jack Smith and to this union four children were born, Billy Smith, who preceded her in death, Oneda Smith, Novella Richardson and Velta Johnson; stepchildren, Jack Smith, Jr., Leroy Smith, Walter Smith, Eugene Smith, Mary Bagby, and Emma Baldwin all of which are deceased. Mary also has 25 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
