Her Life & Legacy

Mary was born as Mary Ann Shaw on August 20 1949 to J.P and Lula Bell Shaw in Pittsburgh,
Texas.
Mary attended Frederick Douglass High School, where she graduated with the class of '67.
She continued her education and later graduated from Jarvis Christian College.
Mary started a career in human resources at Sears and went on to retire from the Texas
Department of Health and Human Services.
On February 12, 1982 Mary married James Morton and from this union two sons were born.
She leaves to cherish her memory:

Son- Craig Morton
Grandson- Sean Morton
Brother- Earl Shaw
Special friend, Sandra Johnson as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and
friends
Mary precedes in death her parents, J.P. Shaw and Lula Bell Shaw, sister Bobbie Pearl and
brother Robert Shaw.

James was born to James and Mary Morton on May 29, 1988 in Dallas, Texas
He attended David W. Carter High School where he graduated in 2006. James continued his
education at Wiley College and obtained a degree in education.
James later pursued a career in management at Amazon.
James leaves behind his fiancee', Brandi Jones and is survived by

Brothers- Craig and Curtis Morton
Sister- Karen Morton
Nieces- Ashley Howard and Tiara Moore
Nephews- Tyric and Sean Morton
