Mary E. Vester Hill was born to the parentage of Richard Vester and Rosa Shanklin on October 12, 1922 in Delta County in Cooper, Texas. Mary accepted Christ at an early age.

Mary met and married Lonnie Williams and to this union one daughter, Patricia Williams was born.

Mary later met and married the love of her life, Reverend James T. Hill and they united in Holy Matrimony on September 23, 1948. To this union two sons were born, Juan T. Hill and Jonathan Hill.

Mary was employed with DISD in food service from 1948 to 1981.
Mary was the mother of many children in her South Dallas neighborhood.

Mary was President of the Friendship District Association for over 35 years. She was a member of the association for over 55 years. She wore the crown of BME State Convention.

Her memories will be cherished by her son, Jonathan T. Hill (Rhonda) and a host of relatives and friends.

The homegoing celebration will commence on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church, 6925 Wofford Drive, Dallas, Texas 75227
