Marvin Keith Dickson was born to the parentage of Laurine Dickson and Elvira Clark Dickson in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.

He was educated in the Dallas Independent School District and graduated from L.G. Pinkston High School. After graduating from high school, he served one (1) tour of duty in the United States Army where he was honorably discharged and he worked for the United States Postal Service as a Postal Worker.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, father, Laurine Dickson and mother, Elvira Clark Dickson; sisters, Patricia L. Hooper and Dorthy H. Thompson and nephew, William D. Dickson,

Those left to cherish Marvin's memories: common law wife, Patricia Dixon; daughter, Sabrina Kaye Brown (Louis P. Dunn, Jr.); sister, Barbara Dickson; two grandsons, Louis P. Dunn, III and Laddaria Dunn; one great granddaughter, Tamia L. Dunn; three great grandsons, Demetrise, Damyrion and Malachai Dunn and two nephews, Patrick and Michael Hooper.
