Marlon Keith
Briscoe
December 6, 1978 – May 29, 2026
Marlon Keith Briscoe was born on December 6, 1978, in Galveston, Texas, to his loving parents, Byron and Vicki Briscoe. From an early age, Marlon displayed a gentle spirit, a determined mind, and a deep love for family that would shape the course of his life.
Marlon graduated with honors from Lincoln High School in Port Arthur, Texas, in May 1997. That summer, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and began his academic journey at Southern Methodist University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in December 2002.
He went on to build a distinguished career in the banking and public sectors. Marlon spent nearly twelve years with J.P. Morgan Corporate Investment Bank in Dallas before relocating to Austin in 2015 to pursue his Master of Business Administration. He later worked for the State of Texas as a System Analyst for three years, then continued his professional journey at Langston University in Oklahoma. In 2022, he returned to Dallas and resumed his banking career with Bank of America as a Senior Operations Analyst, where he remained for approximately three years.
Marlon was baptized at an early age at the historic Israel Chapel A.M.E. Church in Port Arthur, grounding his life in faith and purpose.
On May 29, 2026, Marlon received his wings. Though his earthly journey ended too soon, his legacy of kindness, determination, and unwavering love for family will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Marlon was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, James Bowden, Sr.; grandfather, Eugene Knatt, Sr.; grandmother, Eloice Guillory; aunt, Dorothy Mae Bowden; and a host of beloved aunts and uncles.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Byron and Vicki Briscoe; his siblings, Jamarque Briscoe (Shannon) and Monique Pride (Kenneth); and his grandmother, Betty Babineaux. He is also survived by his uncles, Gordy Bosie, Jr., Eugene Knatt, Jr. (Claudatta), and Charles Knatt; and his aunts, Brenda Chambers, Cynthia Colbert (Dean), Paula Chisley (Eric), Patricia Robinson (Bernard), Diane Fentroy, Rosland Shelton (Mickey), and Dawana Wise (Shad).
Marlon also leaves behind his godmother and cousin, Billie Martin; beloved cousins, DeAndre Carmen and Brandon Jenkins; and a devoted friend, the Honorable Bernard Jones and his wife, Dr. Mautra Staley Jones. In addition, he leaves a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Marlon will be deeply missed and forever remembered. His kindness, his steady presence, and his unwavering love for family touched every life he encountered. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the 47 years God allowed his light to shine among us.
Rest in Peace, our firstborn. Your memory will be cherished always.
