Born to parents John and Ora Lee Wagner in Liberty, MS on July 1.1945. She received her education in
Liberty MS and later relocated to Wichita Falls with her sister.
As a single mother of four, Marie worked various jobs while attending Vernon Regional Junior College
where she obtained her degree as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). She worked many years and
arduous hours at Bethania Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas before relocating to Dallas, Texas. She
continued working in the medical profession at RHD Memorial Hospital in Dallas before retiring.
She was a devoted and longtime member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas under
W.O Everett and was affiliated with several local churches in Dallas.
She is proceeded in death by her parents and siblings, Jimmy Wagner Sr, John L Wagner, Eddie Wagner
Sr, Elbert Wagner, Rose Powell (Allen) nephew Kenneth M Powell Sr and niece Yolanda A Wagner, two
granddaughters Kenadye Grace Wagner and Madyson Janae Wagner
She leaves behind 4 children Glen E Wagner, Melvin V Wagner (Jackie), Shelia Ellison (Kentry) and
Michael K Wagner, ten grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
