Margaret Goffney Hartford was the 13th of 15 children, born on March 10, 1953, to Mr. Jessie and Mrs. Edna Goffney
in New Braunfels, Texas. She started her early education in New Braunfels ISD until 1963 when her family moved
to Dallas, Texas, where she later attended Madison High School but transferred to Lincoln High School, where she
graduated in 1972.
Margaret accepted Christ and joined OCBF in 1977, where she continued her relationship with Christ. Her ministry at
OCBF was in the choir, where she was one of the first soloists for the church. After the choir, she joined The Comfort
and Care team.
She pursued her career with the Southland Corporation for 20 years. In 1994, Margaret started with Sewell Cadillac,
where she was known as the "Smooth Operator" in the service department. Margaret retired after 20 years with Sewell.
She had two children, Dunri and Marcus. On April 7, 2001, she married Norman "Jerry" Hartford. Margaret was a
beautiful spirit who loved her family, never complained, and always enjoyed life. She always looked for the positive in
everything. Margaret dedicated herself to giving to others and was known for her beautiful, radiant smile.
Margaret is preceded in death by her mother, Edna Goffney; father, Jessie Goffney; and siblings, Jessie Goffney, Freddie
Goffney, Harvey Goffney, Paul Goffney, Daniel Goffney, Robert Goffney, Roy Goffney, Joseph Goffney, and Clarence
Goffney.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Norman "Jerry" Hartford; daughter, Dunri Warner (Terrance);
son, Marcus Terry; and bonus daughters, Sunya Hartford, Courtney Marshall, and Mayra Alejo, as well as bonus sons,
Carl Hartford and Gerald Hartford; siblings, MaryAnn Tennison, Emma Howard (Van), Ernest Goffney (Maria),
Larry Goffney, and Carl Lee Goffney; grandkids, Terrance D. Warner and Caleb Terry; also bonus grandkids, Brittany,
Damian, Brenda, Toddie, Chris, Karlisa, Crystal, Brenton; and a host of great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
