Marjorie Juanita Jones was born April 13, 1935 in Forney Texas to the parentage of James Williams and Annie Mary (Bates) Oliver. Marjorie was the 4th child of 9 siblings. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized as a member of Mt Zion M.B.C, Forney Texas, under the pastoral leadership Rev. W.H. Saunders. As she grew in Christ, she served as Secretary of their Sunday school and sang in the choir.  She attended Booker T Washington (Forney) graduated with high honors in 1952.

In 1955 she met and later married Walter Smith (deceased) , moved to Dallas, from this union, Cheryle' and Carey (deceased) were born.

In 1964 she married Rev.Lonnie C. Jones, Sr.  (Deceased) and from this union, Steven was born.

In her journey as a minister's wife she became first lady of Mesquite Heights Baptist church, of Mesquite Texas,  where her husband Rev. Lonnie C. Jones became pastor both served several years; later Rev Lonnie C. Jones was called to Pastor, the Greater Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church where she served for many years while taking care of her husband during his Illness; she was a true example of 1st a minister' a  pastor's wife as well as a first lady, those who truly knew her can testify to that.  Besides being the first lady, she also served in many ministries while attending Greater Mount Sinai M.B.C.

After Rev. Lonnie C. Jones became ill, retired then past August 1997, she attended the Kingdom M.B.C under watch care of Bishop Lamar Walton.

She later returned to Greater Mount Sinai M.B.C. under the Pastoral leadership of Rev. Calvin May. In October 2001 she was under the leadership of   Steven C. Jones her son she served under Pastor Jones until 2013.  That same year she assisted Pastor Steven C.  Jones in organizing The Church of Love where she was a member until Our Lord Jesus Christ said "Come Home "

She was employed by several businesses, such as Unclaimed Freight, Mangels, and Titches (joske's now Dillard's) dullards ) she was the bookkeeper for all of the said companies. With her knowledge of numbers and how to make the numbers balance, she wanted to do something different, at a greater level in accounting, she decided to apply at banks, such as Republic national, Republic National bank saw her natural ability of balancing their books that they encouraged and insisted that she take banking classes stated this would allow her to move further in the company as well as corporate America. She attended the School of banking  where  she earned her  Associate degree later  she applied at Nations Bank  ( Bank of America ) retired at a management level…

She was loved deeply and was an inspiration to so many…

Waiting at heaven gates are Parents Mr. and Mrs. James Oliver, Husband Rev. Lonnie C. Jones Sr.  Sons:  Carey D.  Smith and Lonnie C.  Jones Jr. 3 Grand children Diarrion, DeVon and Dionne Jones.

Siblings:  T.Leroy Williams, James Oliver and Jessie Oliver.

She leaves to cherish her memories, Cheryle Epting (Darial) Dallas, Rev.  Steven Jones (Tanisha) Desoto,  Marcus Jones (Maurex) Houston, Gwendolyn Fisher (Roderick) Eddie Jones (Ethel) both of   Dallas, Sharaline Jones (David) Red Oak,  Donavon Jones (Soleria ) Glen Heights  Caverette Tucker (Carey II) Cedar Hill ; Siblings, Mary Dewberry, Margaret Jackson (Clemmie), Dorothy Stewart, Shirley Roland and Louis Oliver (Shelonnie),  all of  Forney;  In laws Lavonia Ephram (Garland)., Etta White ( Lubbock) Catherine  Smith (Ft Worth) Anna Drawhorn (Eugene) Tyler , Clara Triplett  ( St Louis Mo ) . J.W. Smith (Lucy) Waxahachie, Joe Smith (Marie) Dallas, Bessie Jackson (Lancaster) and 43 Grand children  67 Great grandchildren 6.Great great grandchildren Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends .
