Mack Steven Thomas was born on December 30, 1954 to the parents of Sally Elizabeth and Lewis Earl Thomas in Monahans, Texas. He was baptized at the age of six at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas.
Mack's primary education began in the Waco Independent School District. He transferred to Monahans Independent School District during high school and entered the Job Corp shortly afterwards. Mack was a two-branch Veteran, serving in both the US Marines and US Navy. During his duty he was stationed in the Philippines, Southeast Asia, San Diego, and Seattle. Mack completed his military service in 1982. Mack went on to have a 38 year career with the United States Postal Service.
Mack showed his love by providing for his family. He played an active role in mentoring, supporting, and building the lives of those surrounding him. Mack was involved in various softball and basketball leagues. He was talented on the domino table and enjoyed fishing off the shores of Louisiana. Above all, Mack enjoyed traveling and spending time with wife, Natalie, family, and friends. He had a contagious smile and was known to have never met a stranger.
Mack was preceded in death by his parents Sally and Lewis Thomas, Grandmother Hattie McCoy, Sister Jacqueline Lee, and Nephew Jermaine Kennison.
Mr. Thomas leaves behind a host of family and lifelong friends to cherish his memory including his wife of 19 years, Natalie Thomas; Children: Tasha Thomas, Jarian Thomas, Sr., Kendra Gaston, Rhyan Brown (Jason), Taylor Vallie (Erik), and Rhaelyn Ford; Siblings: Gwendolyn Thomas, Mary Thomas Perryman (David), Donald Thomas, and Karen Armstrong; Grandchildren: Tydrick Ranson, Takyrie Ranson, Jarian Thomas, Jr., Sergio Richardson, Jayden Richardson, Norman Minter, Chase Brown, Aden Vallie, and Logan Brown; Great-grandchildren: Tray'veion Ranson, Tydrick Ranson, Jr., and Tamir Ranson.
