"Big Mama" a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and great- great grandmother. was born May 18,1932 to the parentage of the late Essie B. and Addie Lee Payne-Pruitt in Camo, Texas. She united with New Hope B.C at an early age and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful member at New Birth B.C In Dallas,Texas, and also a member at Macedonia B.C in Caney,TX.
Mable received her High School Diploma From Clark High School in Quitman, Texas. She resided in Tyler, Texas where she raised her three children and was employed at General Electric and Carrier Air Condition. she later moved to Los Angeles, California where she met and married the Love of her life, Johnnie Washington. She then moved to Dallas, Texas where she started her career at Wonder Bread and later retired upon moving to Mabank,Texas. She enjoyed Bingo, traveling,casinos,The Longhorn Ballroom and Dancing to the sound of the beat with the best of them.
Mable is preceded in death by her loved one B. and Addie Lee Payne-Pruitt, her loving husband, Johnnie Washington, her sisters &brothers Buford Pruitt-Pryor, Phillip Pruitt and Espanola Puitt-Thacker, She leaves to mourn one sister Billy B.Pruitt- Winn of Longview, Texas.
Mable leaves to cherish her wonderful memories with her two daughters of Dallas, Texas Wanda Dews and Paula Williams and one son Lester H. Williams (Kimberly) of Mabank,Texas. A host of other family and friends.
