Mable Estell Griggs Holland was born on December 25, 1925 in Navarro County, Texas. To the parentage of Calvin Allen Griggs and Ella Jessie Montgomery Griggs, whom preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her sister Mary Ellen Harrsion.

Mable received her education in the Dallas Independent School District. She attended N.W. Harlee Elementary and was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School.

She married James P. Holland April 16, 1949. To this union no children were born. He preceded her in death. Mable and James were faithful members of the Peoples Missionary Baptist Church where they served as ushers for many years until their health failed them.

Mable is survived by her sister, Gladys Gipson; step daughter, Dorothy Holland Clark; Grandsons, Gerald Holland and Corey Clark; Granddaughter, Delta Stafford; Great-grandchildren, Le'Antra (Courtney), Le'Anthony, Nicole, Corey Jr, Jason, Consuela, Shaquan, and Jontrenae. Neices Billie Stafford (Kenneth) and Kennethia Stafford and a host of great-great grandchildren, neices, nephews, cousins, and friends.
