Lucille Savage was born December 30, 1934 to the parentage of Clifton Scruggs and Lillian Scruggs in Hearne, Texas.
Lucille, affectionately known as Cille, received her education at Blackshear High School in Hearne, Texas. She retired from St. Michael All Angels Episcopal Church in Dallas.
Lucille was very kind, loving and giving to all who knew her. She valued family, faith and lived by the creed of family first. She enjoyed college football, knitting and singing (especially opera). She accepted Christ at an early age and later joined Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she was active in several church ministries.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton Scruggs; mother, Lillian Scruggs; husband, Nathaniel Savage Jr; three brothers, Joe, James, Leslie; two sisters, Imogene and Betty and one daughter, Loraine Lewis.
Lucille leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Marian Chappel (Mansfield, d.); four sons, Henry Savage, Undray Savage, Naim Rasheed (Stacey) and Nathaniel Savage III (Vickie); 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great- great grandchildren; three sisters, Rose Toney, Mamie King, Hazel Nixon, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
