Loura Ellison, affectionately known as Denise, was born on July 14, 1973 to Lula Daniels and James K. Daniels in Dallas, Texas. She was the older of two siblings with her younger brother, Michael James Callins.

She attended and graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1991.

Loura met and married Smith Ellison on September 19, 1997 in Dallas, Texas. To this union three beautiful children were born Minnie, Paula and Smith, III.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather, Loura Nash and Thomas Callins, an uncle, Thomas Ray and cousin, Terea Lewis.

Loura leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Smith Ellison, Jr.; two daughters, Minnie and Paula; son, Smith Ellison, III; grandson, Kayden; parents, Lula and James Daniels; brother, Michael Callins; biological father, Alvin Alvarez; cousins, Ulonda, Kieno, Theodist and Devin; three aunts, Martha, Patsy and Francine; two uncles, Milton and James and close friends, Nikkia and Ebony and a host of other relatives and friends.

The homegoing celebration will commence on Saturday, September 1, 2012 11:00am at Rightway Baptist Church, 4300 Ramona Avenue
