Obituary

Mother Louise Sheppard was born September 20, 1920 in Kaufman County to the parentage of Joseph and Linnie McCullough 4 of 9 children. Louise Sheppard experienced a new birth and received the Holy Ghost at an early age. She later moved to Terrell, Texas and attended Burnett High School and united with Mt. Olivet Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Mims.

She met and married the dream of her life, Waco Sheppard on December 3, 1942 and remained married for 50 years, until God called him home. To that union 8 children were born, she later moved to Dallas, Texas and united with the Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. I. Green for over 20 years.

Louise Sheppard was employed at Methodist Hospital and retired from Parkland Hospital as an LVN. She also worked at Joe McCullough Private School. She later moved her membership to the Evangelist Temple C.O.G.I.C. under the pastorage fo the late Supt. T. Cannon, she remained there as a faithful member under the leadership of her son Supt. Freddie Sheppard. She served faithfully as prayer warrior and President of the Pastor Aid/Helping Hands Ministry. Her parents Joseh and Linnie McCullough, her husband, Rev. Waco Sheppard, 2 sons Marcellous and Glenn, 1 step son Ira, grandson, Darrell Lee Sheppard; siblings, Goldman, Coleman, Matthew, Lawrence, Allen, Joseph, Lorie and Ruth all preceded her in death.

She was the last of nine siblings and was the current matriarch of her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory: children, Shar'Ron (Kenneth), Lee (Barbara), Freddie (Loretta), Carol (Michael), Joe Ann, Phyllis (Eddie), Betty and Mae all of Dallas, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 13 great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
