Loretta Leevonne Gaines-Moore, was born on March 13, 1944 to the parentage of Willie C. (Bill) and Valeria I. Gaines, in Stroud, Oklahoma. She completed both her primary and secondary school years at Stroud Public Schools and graduated from Stroud High School in 1961. Upon completion of high school, she attended Draughon Business School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 1966 she gave birth to twin girls Terri Ann Gaines and Jerri Lou Gaines. She was member Primitive Baptist Church in Stroud, Ok, an accepted Christ at an earlier age.
In 1969, Loretta moved to Dallas, Texas and started career in graphics arts until her retirement 2006. After retiring she worked part-time for Dallas Post Tribune Newspaper
Loretta married Andrew H. Moore in 1971, to their union 4 children were born: Andrew H Moore Jr. (preceded in death), Andre' D Moore, twins Caralotta L Moore and George C Moore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers (Donald Ray "Mickey", Hebert Lee, and Victor), one sister-in law: Ethel Ola Gaines; one brother- in law: Henry E White Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories Terri Ann Gaines (Fiancé Allen Burke), Jerri Gaines-Ferrell (husband Carl W. Ferrell Sr.), Andre D Moore, Caralotta Lynnette Calico (husband Eric Calico) and George Carlenius Moore all of Dallas, Texas. Grandchildren: Erika R Ferrell, Carl W Ferrell Jr, Chassidy N. Ferrell, Shaela M Hunter and Xavier R Wafer II. (Special Granddaughters: Ebony Whitted, Courtney Carr and Jessica Leavy) Great Grandchildren: Malani, Cameron, Mayah, Malaysia and expecting Xavier R Wafer III.
Sisters: Arvella Peters (Sanford Peters), Alice I White, Willie C Pegues (Edgar Pegues)
Sister in laws: Edith Gaines and Sharon Steele
Host of nieces, nephews, friends and other love one's
Her legacy will forever live on through her children, grandchildren, great-children, and the future generations to come!!!!
