Loretta Lynn Lewis was born on May 5, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of J.C. and Lodell Boyce who both have preceded her in death. Two brothers, Leslie Boyce and Henry Kaiser who preceded her in death.

She was raised by Callie Kaiser who also preceded her in death.

She graduated from Gladewater High School, which was located in Gladewater, Texas; she gave birth to her first born, Angelia Chalk and married her first husband Bobbie Chalk. She relocated to Dallas, Texas and later united with Robert Beatyy. This union increased her family by three, adding an additional two daughters, Tachinia Linwood-Steele and Tyisha Laymond; one son, Robert Linwood. Years later they gave birth to her baby girl, Tanangelia Beatty.

Loretta joined Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Keith Pickr0n.

She united with Larry Lewis on September 29, 2007. This union increased her family by one adding an additional daughter, LaKeisha Lewis. When she passed, she and Larry were still united as one.

Loretta Lewis leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Larry Lewis; five daughters, Angelia Chalk, Tanangelia Beatty, Tachinia Linwood-Steele (Kerry), Tyisha Laymond, LaKeisha Lewis; son, Robert Linwood; special goddaughter, Shoulanda Williams; 7 sisters, 2 brothers and a host of other relatives and friends.

The homegoing celebration will commence on Monday, July 23, 2012 11:00am at Southern Crest Full Gospel Baptist Church, 2325 Locust Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75216
