Lometia Belin born February 3, 1936, in Dallas, Texas to Robert Lee Corsey and Bernice Turner. She attended Dallas Independent Public Schools, where she received her education.

In her early years, she became a member to Greenway Park Church of God In Christ and attended there for over 40 Years. She worked at Southern Methodist University (SMU). where she retired after 35 years of service.

Lometia married the love of her life, John Dell (JD) Belin, and they were together for 53 Years, raising one child together.: Lester Coursey.

Preceding her in death are her husband, John Belin, three of his children, Alfred Belin, Willie Belin and Anthony Belin: and three sibling, Maurice Corsey    (Peter), Jimmie Ruth Hayes and Carlos Anderson.

Lometia is survived by her son Lester Coursey of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, LaBrigidia Guidry (Cardell) of Garland, TX: grandson Twan Coursey of Dallas, TX, Jordin Metculf Coursey of Dallas, TX and Amaya Coursey of Little Elm, TX: great-granddaughter, Calicia Guidry; great-grandson, DeVonte Chapman, Kayden Scott; and one living brother, Pastor Robert Corsey, Sr. (Evelyn) of Dallas, TX. She also leaves behind a host of family and friends to cherish her memory.
