The Littie Clyde Turner Story

I was born in Malone Texas. on August 27, 1941 to Mack Paul and Dorcas Lambert who were overjoyed to welcome a beautiful girl into their home. After I was born my parents and myself moved to Paducah,Texas. When I became school age I attended elementary, and my high school days in Paducah, Texas. Well let me tell you all something I had the honor to be the valedictorian of my graduating class of 1960. I was so happy about that great honor.

On December 17, 1971, I had the honor of marrying Charles Clifford Turner, and during our marriage we were blessed to have two beautiful daughters. We had a beautiful blended family. I believed in being active in my children's education while they were in school. I was a member of the PTA, and the Band Booster club. Education was always a top priority to me.

Another great accomplishment in my life is when I walked out and gave my life to Christ and was baptized at the Lawrence and Marder Church of Christ over 40 years ago. I also attended the Cherry Valley congregation, before making Cliff View my home congregation where I have attended for many years.

I had the privilege of being employed by Katherine Mangelsdorf for 45 years, until I retired in August of 2013. I also had some hobbies that I enjoyed doing in my spare time. I enjoyed sewing and doing upholstery work for myself and family members. Now I thought I would save the best for last. I was a great cook, and was well known for my briskets, and if you do not believe me you better ask somebody!

During my 75 years here on earth I can honestly say I am happy for everything that I was able to accomplish. Along this life I did incur some sadness when I lost my parents, brother, and infant daughter . You never want to lose anyone you love. Well to my family I hated that I had to leave last Wednesday morning so abruptly, but I was tired and my Heavenly Father felt it was time for me to get some much needed rest. Cry if you must, but not as those who do not have hope.

My memories will always be cherished by my husband Charles, my beautiful children Sandra Mayes, Rodney (Nora) Lambert, KiKi (Tony) Jones, Finis Turner, Darrell (Chimere) Mitchell, Charles II (Joyce) Glen (Christie) Darrell (Cassandra), James (Precious) Turner, and Felecia Turner-McGraw. My brother Billy Steve Williams (Edith) and sister Elizabeth Lambert. I was blessed to have 23 grandchildren, several great grands, my nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends.

Well this wraps up My Story and My Journey, Love always Littie Clyde Turner.
