Lisa Machelle Lewis was born on April 5, 1962, to Alexander and Eloise Carol London Lewis. Lisa was born in Waco, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age at Saint James United Methodist Church in Waco, Texas, and later moved to Dallas, Texas, where she united with The Potter's House Dallas, Texas, where she was a faithful member until her death.

Lisa attended Dripping Springs Elementary School in Waco, Texas, and graduated from University High School in Waco, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science from East Texas University in Commerce, Texas. Lisa was an educator with The Dallas Independent School District and was employed by the Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) in Dallas, Texas.

Lisa loved vacationing, supporting, and spending time with her family and friends. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander Lewis and Eloise Carol London Lewis, and one son, Alexander, as well as two brothers, Carl Edward Lewis and Dwayne Alexander Lewis. She leaves to cherish her loving memory one daughter, Rebecca Lewis; two sisters, Cheryle Y. London of Lewisville, Texas, and Lynette Smith (Michael) of Dallas, Texas; great nieces; great nephews; Carla Hubbard; Carl Edward Walker; Carisa Walker; Edwina Walker; Davion Hubbard; Cardion Hubbard; Reginal D. Dowdy (Rachel); Roshanda L. Dowdy; Byron L. Dowdy; Bridgette L. Dowdy; Earl (Tony); Deidra Allen (Karlus); longtime friend Calvin Cook; and a host of other relatives and friends with many fond and loving memories.
