Linda Faye Wooten was born in Dallas, Texas May 19, 1948 to the parentage of Odessa Charles (Swain) and Earl Swain. She is preceded in death by her parents, Aunt Ida Jackson, brother Curtis Swain and great- grandson Jadyn Jones. She united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Leon Eugene Wooten of 56yrs. To this union three children, Ellis, Edward and LaMonica were born.
Sis Wooten accepted Christ early in life and served as a faithful member for nearly 40 years at The Neighborhood House of Prayer Church. She was very active in her place of worship as she served on the Usher Board for nearly 30 years, the Mothers Board as well as the Pastor's Aide.
Mrs. Linda Wooten was educated in the Dallas Independent School District and attended Lincoln High School. She was employed with the Mesquite Independent School District where she loved interacting with the children and teachers whom she spoke so highly of at Tisinger Elementary.
She leaves to cherish her legacy of love and faith in God to her husband Leon Wooten, sons; Ellis Wooten, Edward Wooten, Sr(Carrin), daughter, LaMonica Wooten and two sisters Elois Godlock(Phillip) and Dianne Robinson, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews along with family and friend.
